What Tax Credits Do I Get?

Personal Purchase

The Federal Electric Vehicle Tax can either apply to the price at time of sale or be claimed when filing taxes. 

Personal Lease

The Federal EV Tax credit is not available on a lease. 

Commercial Business

The Federal EV Tax Credit cannot be applied to the purchase price. It can only be claimed when filing taxes. 

Income Qualifications

Based on Adjusted Gross Income of either the year you purchase or previous year, whichever is less. If you exceed these thresholds and receive the tax credit at time of sale you will owe it back. 

  • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
  • $225,000 for head-of-household filers
  • $150,000 for all other filers
